QUESTIONS ABOUT COUNSELING.

The idea of counseling can be confusing so below I wanted to help things make sense. Please read through common questions and feel free to raise some questions of your own by clicking on the CONTACT page and filling in your question(s).

01

What is counseling really about?

Counseling is not to be seen as a negative event. Rather, this process is meant to broden and aid individuals, couples and families in their journey. It is a way for one to slow down their minds to see what has been hiding in their hearts that may be too difficult to bear or address. In the process, change occurs resulting in the desired outcome with room for further development.

02

How do payments work; cost, accepted payment, etc.?

The clients rate per session is based on family size and income (see RATES under SERVICES). The client is to pay by cash, check, or credit card for each session. Typically, payments are taken at the end of your 50 minute session.

What kind of training do you have?

My graduate degrees are in Marriage and Family Counseling and Community Counseling. I am also an Advanced Emotionally Focused (EFT) Therapsit.

05

How is my information kept private?

As a therapist, I abide by the ACA code of ethics which allows the client (you) confidentiality; except where mandated otherwise by law, as in the case of child and/or elder abuse, or imminent danger to yourself or others.
